The Chicken Fried Steak is an OKLAHOMA tradition passed down from settlers and the "cookie" from Cattle Runs. Tougher cuts of beef pounded down thin, seasoned, floured and pan fried were the way to do Chicken Fries right. Top with a homemade milk or cream gravy and you were in for a delicious dinner after a long day.

My blend of spices and herbs are not only for breading and batters for your Chicken Fried Steak, but also for golden fried chicken, veggies, and another Oklahoma/ Southern food favorite, the Fried Green Tomato. 

Salt, garlic and onion, sweet paprika, black and white pepper, and a common spice not usually found with Chicken fried Steak... CUMIN!
